Dr. Jean-Claude Falmagne
Chairman
Dr. Jean-Claude Falmagne is Chairman of ALEKS Corporation's Board of Directors. He holds the Ph.D. Degree from L'Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium.
Professor Falmagne joined the faculty of New York University in 1971, and was Professor of Cognitive Sciences at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) from 1989 until 2005. He is currently Professor Emeritus at the University of California, Irvine. Some of his work in the past two decades has been concentrated on Knowledge Space Theory, which he developed in collaboration with Professor Jean-Paul Doignon of L'Universitée Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium.
Professor Falmagne is the author or co-author of approximately 120 journal articles that deal mostly with choice theory, measurement theory, psychophysics, and Knowledge Space Theory. He is also the author of three books and a co-author of two edited volumes. He has received Fulbright and Guggenheim Fellowships and a von Humboldt Award.
In 1987-88, Professor Falmagne was a Fellow at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences. In 1988-89, he was President of the Society for Mathematical Psychology. He is a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Mathematical Psychology, Mathématique, Informatique et Sciences Humaines, and the Mathematical Social Sciences. He is currently a Fellow of the Society of Experimental Psychology.
In 1978, Professor Falmagne solved a long standing theoretical problem raised by the economists Block and Marschak in 1960, concerning the representation of choice probabilities by random utilities.
In 1971 Professor Falmagne founded the European Mathematical Psychology Group, in which 80-100 researchers from all over the world gather annually to discuss research in the field.

Mr. R. G. Wilmot Lampros
President
Mr. R. G. Wilmot Lampros is the President of ALEKS Corporation.
Prior to joining ALEKS, Mr. Lampros was the President of Machine Tool Finance Corporation (currently Machine Tool Finance Group of US Bancorp Leasing and Financial). He was instrumental in that company's transformation from a small entrepreneurial venture into an industry leader in the financing of precision manufacturing equipment in the United States.
Mr. Lampros began his professional career in the late 1970's at the New York City law firm of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae, L.L.P. He holds the JD Degree from New York University School of Law and the AB Degree from Oberlin College.
Dr. Nicolas Thiéry
Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Nicolas Thiéry is the company's Chief Technology Officer. Dr. Thiéry was a key member of the team that originally developed ALEKS at UCI.
Dr. Thiéry holds the Ph.D. Degree in Mathematical Behavioral Sciences from UCI. He also holds the Diplôme d'Ingénieur (equivalent to the US Master's Degree in Computer Science and Telecommunications Engineering) from L'Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications de Bretagne (ENST) in Brest, France and the Diplôme d'Etudes Avancées en Informatique (equivalent to the Master's of Science in Computer Science) from the Université de Rennes, France.
Mr. J.P. Lenney
Senior Vice President
Before joining ALEKS Corporation in 2005, Mr. Lenney was the President of McGraw-Hill Online Learning. From July 2000 through May 2004, Mr. Lenney was President of McGraw-Hill/Irwin, the premier publisher of business and economics textbooks in the United States. One of Mr. Lenney's key achievements as publisher at McGraw-Hill Higher Education's Science, Engineering, and Mathematics division was spearheading the successful launch and distribution of ALEKS in the higher education marketplace. In addition Mr. Lenney has over 25 years of experience in educational publishing. Mr. Lenney holds the B.A. Degree from Holy Cross College in Worcester, Massachusetts, as well as the Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from The California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco.
Dr. Eric Cosyn
Director of Applied Research
Dr. Eric Cosyn is the company's Director of Applied Research. Dr. Cosyn was a key member of the team that originally developed ALEKS at UCI.
Dr. Cosyn holds the Ph.D. Degree in Mathematical Behavioral Sciences from UCI, and the License en Mathématiques (equivalent to the Master's of Science in Mathematics) from L'Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium.
