Overall Experience:

We are having an excellent ALEKS experience. The daily review helps to ensure retention.

What challenges did the student face in math prior to using ALEKS?

My student did not work well with textbooks.

What were you looking for in an online math tool?

I needed to find a tool that would allow my student to move at his own pace.

What math progress has the student experienced since using ALEKS?

ALEKS has definitely helped improve my student's thinking process. He tries new things more, and is not limited to the order of a traditional textbook.

How does the student feel about his/her progress in ALEKS?

My student is very pleased with his progress in ALEKS, and is showing more confidence.

Are there any best practices you would like to share with other ALEKS users?

A little variety keeps his interest in the program. I review for a day and then introduce a worksheet. I wait for my student to ask for these things and then it seems like a treat!
