ALEKS has reduced a lot of stress for my son; now that he is using it, he is not as discouraged by math.
What challenges did the student face in math prior to using ALEKS?
Prior to ALEKS, my son could only work on math as long as I was with him. As soon as I left him to work independently, everything would go wrong.
What were you looking for in an online math tool?
I needed a program that could generate reports to display my son's progress and understanding.
What math progress has the student experienced since using ALEKS?
It is encouraging for my son to watch his pie chart fill up. He is doing better in math with every assessment.
How does the student feel about his/her progress in ALEKS?
My son's attitude toward math is improving daily. I no longer have to fight him over his math lessons because he doesn't dread it anymore.
