We are currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist II.
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources this position will focus on employee engagement, retention, and relations. The Human Resources Generalist II position encompasses all aspects of best practice human resources support for our company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administers human resources policies and procedures that cover two or more functional areas.
Collects and analyzes HR data, and then makes recommendations to management.
Recruits for open positions within the company as well as alpha testers for specific products.
Serve as the initial point of contact for employees with regard to general employee relations issues, compensation, and company policies, practices and procedures.
Responsible for ongoing research and reporting of salaries and benefit plans/programs to ensure we remain competitive in the marketplace.
Ensure that employee information is attended to in an accurate and timely manner as well as create an internal audit system to review submitted status changes for appropriate processing and correct any issues that may arise.
TECHNICAL, MANAGERIAL, and PEOPLE SKILLS REQUIRED:

Strong well rounded knowledge of Human Resource practices, policies, laws, and regulatory requirements.
Strong collaborative and effective verbal and written communication skills, high energy, excellent follow-up skills, and highly effective relationship building skills are required.
Must be proficient in MS office applications.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field with a minimum 3.0 G.P.A.
Minimum of 2 years experience in a HR Generalist role within a small to mid size education focused organization.
Demonstrated knowledge of Federal, state and local employment laws and the demonstrated ability to effectively provide guidance to management in compliance with those requirements while also balancing business needs. Specifically, must have a strong working knowledge of California employment law.
