Many students in our targeted areas use ALEKS. The program helps all students to master mathematics skills and students like the program.

Implementation
Do you cover ALEKS concepts in a particular order? Yes. We cover topics in ALEKS as they are presented in our Everyday Math textbooks.
How do you structure your class period with ALEKS? ALEKS is currently used in our after-school program with our free or reduced lunch and disadvantaged students.
How often are students required or encouraged to work on ALEKS at home? Students are encouraged to use ALEKS for 30 minutes to 1 hour per day from home.
How do you cultivate parental involvement and support for ALEKS? We conduct a computer survey and ask if parents are willing to come to an ALEKS training session.
Grading
Is ALEKS assigned to your students as all or part of their homework responsibilities? If so, what part of the total homework load is it? Not yet. Students are encouraged to use ALEKS for more practice.
How do you incorporate ALEKS into your grading system? The ALEKS assessment results will be used as a data resource to determine if each child meets the state progress program.
Do you require students to make regular amounts of progress in ALEKS? Yes, through our assessment analysis we determine if the student has mastered a learning skill or not.
