Course Products

Each of the courses in our Algebra 1A suite can be used as the first part of a two-semester sequence or by itself as a year-long course. These courses provide robust and comprehensive topic coverage and enable students to master all the math skills they need to succeed in higher level algebra.

Algebra 1A is a standards-based course that provides comprehensive coverage of the Common Core (CCSS) and State Standards. It focuses on the algebra concepts and prerequisites typically covered in the first half of an Algebra 1 course.

California Algebra 1A provides comprehensive coverage of the current California Algebra 1 math content standards. It focuses on the algebra concepts and prerequisites typically covered in the first half of a California Algebra 1 course.

Traditional Algebra 1A provides complete coverage of the algebra concepts and prerequisites typically covered in the first half of an Algebra 1 course. It does not provide extensive coverage of non-algebra topics, such as probability, statistics, and geometry.

Response to Intervention is an early detection, prevention, and support system that attempts to identify and assist struggling students with appropriate levels of intervention. The Integrated Mathematics I-III courses offer an alternative to the Algebra 1, High School Geometry, and Algebra 2 course sequence. Either course sequence can be used to prepare students for courses in higher level mathematics. Each Integrated Mathematics I-III course offers comprehensive, standards-based coverage and reporting against the Common Core Standards.

Integrated Mathematics I focuses on algebra, linear and exponential functions, sequences, systems of equations, descriptive statistics, and introductory geometry.

Integrated Mathematics II focuses on quadratic functions, probability, advanced geometry, and introductory trigonometry.

Integrated Mathematics III focuses on extending algebra and functions (including radicals, rational expressions, polynomial functions, logarithmic functions, sequences and series), trigonometry, and probability.

We recommend the following use of these courses by students preparing for the SAT or ACT:

• Master 100% of the material in the ALEKS course; and
• Take several SAT or ACT practice tests (widely available from other sources).
