Overall Experience:

Working with ALEKS has been very positive. We are able to concentrate on areas that are more difficult for my daughter, and fly through the concepts that she easily grasps.

What challenges did the student face in math prior to using ALEKS?

There really weren't enough challenges. My daughter needs very little repetition with most concepts. ALEKS allows her to move on in areas she grasps and offers more problems in areas that are more challenging.

What were you looking for in an online math tool?

ALEKS is exactly what I was looking for.

What math progress has the student experienced since using ALEKS?

My daughter is steadily learning.

How does the student feel about his/her progress in ALEKS?

She feels very good about the program, and now exhibits confidence with math applications.

Are there any best practices you would like to share with other ALEKS users?

For my learner, I find covering a few new topics in Algebra every other day to be beneficial in helping her remember concepts covered in the past. The format works very well for my 10-year old daughter.
