Overall Experience:

Overall I have been very pleased with ALEKS. My son has completed Algebra 1, High School Geometry, Algebra 2, and Math Review for AP Calculus. My daughter is currently working in Mathematics - LV 5. I routinely recommend ALEKS to other parents who are looking for a distance math options that are effective and affordable.

What challenges did the student face in math prior to using ALEKS?

Our problem was not being able to move fast enough through concepts. Math is my son's strongest area, and he completed the ALEKS Algebra and Geometry classes at nine years old.

What were you looking for in an online math tool?

I needed a program that was self-paced and effective. I especially love that ALEKS tests for retention and not just mastery. Most programs give a test to see if a student has mastered a particular topic and never go back. I loved that ALEKS comes back and checks to see if they have retained that mastery.

What math progress has the student experienced since using ALEKS?

ALEKS has prepared my son to move on to higher level math classes.

How does the student feel about his/her progress in ALEKS?

My son thinks ALEKS is great.
