Overall Experience:

ALEKS has been a great addition to my girls' learning. It is helping them to comprehend basic Algebra concepts, and we plan to use it all through the middle and high school years. ALEKS has been very helpful for review and it allows my kids to move at their own pace. I even have ALEKS listed on my kids' chores list.

What challenges did the student face in math prior to using ALEKS?

My students were behind in some areas of math. ALEKS quickly recognized those areas and has helped my girls to truly understand how to do the problems.

What were you looking for in an online math tool?

I was looking for a tool that would help my kids at their current level, and allow them to progress at their own pace without my constant guidance. Instant feedback was also a top priority.

What math progress has the student experienced since using ALEKS?

My students have a lot more confidence in math, and have gone from a D average to B average in school.

How does the student feel about his/her progress in ALEKS?

My students are very proud of their work in ALEKS, and have developed confidence along the way.

Are there any best practices you would like to share with other ALEKS users?

ALEKS is now a 20 minute per night requirement on our kids' chores list. Some nights they can't get to it, but they try to make it up.
