Overall Experience:

My daughter loves using ALEKS! She enjoys being able to choose the topics that she works on in the order she prefers, while also learning at her own pace. She likes that ALEKS senses when she understands something and doesn't require her continue working on the same problem type over and over. As her parent, I appreciate being able to monitor her progress through the assessments. ALEKS has boosted my daughter's confidence in math and has been a very useful adjunct for us.

What challenges did the student face in math prior to using ALEKS?

Our major problem was a lack of confidence in math.

What were you looking for in an online math tool?

We were looking for something to reinforce concepts and help her maintain her math skills over the summer break.

How was ALEKS implemented with other curriculum?

We use ALEKS as a summer supplement so my daughter does not lose skills over summer vacation. ALEKS was completely supplemental in our case.

What math progress has the student experienced since using ALEKS?

I've seen an improved confidence along with a greater familiarity with concepts encountered during this school year.

How does the student feel about his/her progress in ALEKS?

My daughter feels great about ALEKS and her confidence level has absolutely grown.
