Time Spent in ALEKS: 45-60 minutes per day, 4-5 days per week
ALEKS Course: Middle School Math Course 3


Overall Experience:

My son loves ALEKS. He enjoys the sense of accomplishment he gets from watching his pie chart fill up. He has never worked this hard or enjoyed math so much. Thank you so very much!

What challenges did the student face in math prior to using ALEKS?

My son had a hard time concentrating when completing problems out of a book. He is good at math, he just didn't enjoy it.

What were you looking for in an online math tool?

I was looking for a complete curriculum that would keep my son interested and show his progress.

What math progress has the student experienced since using ALEKS?

My son no longer needs to be told to work on his math. He is motivated to complete his ALEKS courses accurately and successfully.

How does the student feel about his/her progress in ALEKS?

My son is encouraged by his progress and likes checking his pie chart daily. He has shown great improvement in the speed and accuracy of his skills. He no longer dreads doing math problems!

Are there any best practices you would like to share with other ALEKS users?

When we initially started with ALEKS, I had my son spend more time in the program to get a feel for his pace within the class.
