Description: One of Freeport-McMoRan's grant focus areas includes STEM education and training in communities where they operate. Mini-Grants for Education are designed to support K-12 teachers and schools in their effort to strengthen and expand learning opportunities for students. STEM Innovation Grants are designed to support K-12 teachers and schools in their efforts to develop, improve or expand innovative instructional programs in science, technology, engineering and math. Grants are awarded to schools located in or near communities where Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold has a presence.

Eligibility: Mini-Grants for Education and STEM Innovation Grants applicants must be teachers, school administrators or parent volunteers/PTA officials at public and private schools located in or near communities where Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold has a presence.

Grant Amount: up to $5000 for STEM Grants and up to $500 for Mini-Grants
