Description: The Greater Milwaukee Foundation promotes collaborative initiatives to improve academic achievement in public and private schools, particularly for low income and minority children. The Foundation also supports programs that enhance parental involvement in education, particularly for low income and minority children.

Eligibility: Grants are made only to 501(c) (3) nonprofit organizations and, on occasion, to governmental agencies. Geographically, funding for our discretionary grantmaking program is limited to projects that will significantly improve the lives of people living in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Ozaukee and Washington counties.

To Apply: An online letter of inquiry is required as initial contact; if the letter is accepted, the applying organization will be asked to complete the online application. An IRS letter verifying tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status is current is required with the application. Please see the website for additional guidelines and requirements.
