My first experience with ALEKS was as a fourth grade teacher at another site. The program engages students by providing them with a tool that facilitates ownership in their math proficiency. It helps students to master their own personal areas of need and to work at an individual pace. My favorite component of the program is QuickTables. I used QuickTables with my second graders to assist them in mastering their basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts. QuickTables has been an amazing tool in my classroom. I also utilize the ALEKS generated worksheets to provide even more practice opportunities for my students to master their basic math facts. Thank you!
