ALEKS is an easy to use math enrichment program. I have used ALEKS for the past five years with an average of 45 kids each year. The parents, teachers, and I are pleased with this program.

How do you implement ALEKS?
As an enrichment.
Do you cover ALEKS concepts in a particular order?
No, but I will tell students to pick a particular part of their pie depending on what we are doing in class.
How do you structure your class period with ALEKS?
We have an open computer lab and teachers can send students there.
How did you modify your regular teaching approach as a result of ALEKS?
I introduce new concepts at the beginning and then excuse my ALEKS students to the math lab.
How often are students required or encouraged to work on ALEKS at home?
One hour a week.
How do you cultivate parental involvement and support for ALEKS?
It hasn't been hard. They like it.
Is ALEKS assigned to your students as all or part of their homework responsibilities? If so, what part of the total homework load is it?

I look at their mastered concepts and what they still need to learn.
Do you require students to make regular amounts of progress in ALEKS?
Since using ALEKS, please describe the learning outcomes or progress you have seen.
Student who use ALEKS regularly (20 minutes day) progress between two and two and a half years in one academic year. Students like ALEKS and feel empowered and in control of their learning.
