ALEKS has been a good product to use for my gifted math students and it is easy to use.

Math facts.

4 days per week.

20 minutes.


Implementation

How do you implement ALEKS?
I use it for gifted students.

Do you cover ALEKS concepts in a particular order?
No, the students just work on it at their own pace.

How do you structure your class period with ALEKS?
We do a math lesson, followed by a worksheet and ALEKS.

How often are students required or encouraged to work on ALEKS at home?
I tell them to work on it every day.

How do you cultivate parental involvement and support for ALEKS?
I email them and show them how their child is doing.

Is ALEKS assigned to your students as all or part of their homework responsibilities? If so, what part of the total homework load is it?
No.

How do you incorporate ALEKS into your grading system?
I do not grade ALEKS.

Do you require students to make regular amounts of progress in ALEKS?
I don't measure progress.  I have them work at their own pace and I continue to monitor through my teacher account.
