ALEKS is great! The students are able to be completely independent while using it.


What challenges did the class or school face in math prior to using ALEKS?

How many days per week is class time dedicated to ALEKS?
5 days per week.

What is the average length of a class period when ALEKS is used?
20 minutes.


How do you implement ALEKS?
Gifted and talented kids use it during intervention time or when they are finished with their own math assignments.

Do you cover ALEKS concepts in a particular order?

How do you structure your class period with ALEKS?
Students know when to get on it, independently.

How did you modify your regular teaching approach as a result of ALEKS?
I just let my kids pace themselves.

How often are students required or encouraged to work on ALEKS at home?
It is encouraged all the time, but not required.

How do you cultivate parental involvement and support for ALEKS?
By letting the parents know their children are using the program.

It is not assigned.
