ALEKS is a great program. In the past two years, we have raised test scores, and some students have improved by two levels!

What challenges did the class or school face in math prior to using ALEKS?
We did not have an intervention for students who did not meet standards.

How many days per week is class time dedicated to ALEKS?
5 days per week.

What is the average length of a class period when ALEKS is used?
30 minutes.


Implementation

How do you implement ALEKS?
We made an ALEKS class.

Do you cover ALEKS concepts in a particular order?
No.

How do you structure your class period with ALEKS?
My students start with ALEKS, we break with a quick ten problem intermission, and then finish out the class period with ALEKS.

How often are students required or encouraged to work on ALEKS at home?
They are not required to.

Is ALEKS assigned to your students as all or part of their homework responsibilities? If so, what part of the total homework load is it?
No.

How do you incorporate ALEKS into your grading system?
I do not grade ALEKS. Next year, I would like to incorporate ALEKS into their grade.

Do you require students to make regular amounts of progress in ALEKS?
No.
