Implementing a program that helps the teacher change the overall topics of the class and keeping track of the individual student.

ALEKS is considered to be the primary math program at our school.
How do you structure your class period with ALEKS?
The students get the option to work on the program when they want.
How did you modify your regular teaching approach as a result of ALEKS?
I did not have to make a packet for each class.
How often are students required or encouraged to work on ALEKS at home?
Is ALEKS assigned to your students as all or part of their homework responsibilities? If so, what part of the total homework load is it?
How do you incorporate ALEKS into your grading system?
For every piece of the pie they complete, they get a percent of the total pie. Then when they complete the program, they will receive an "A" for the class.
Do you require students to make regular amounts of progress in ALEKS?
Yes. Overall all students are required to make 9 percent progress per day in any material. ALEKS can be counted into that number.
Since using ALEKS, please describe the learning outcomes or progress you have seen.
Although the students feel that it takes time, they have become more successful because of the visual of adding pieces to their pies.
