ALEKS has improved student confidence by allowing them to work at their own pace. Student performance in the classroom has also improved. Students are more willing to participate in classroom discussions and they show confidence in answering questions from other students.

No.

How do you structure your class period with ALEKS?
ALEKS is used before and after school.

I did not. We use ALEKS before and after school.

How often are students required or encouraged to work on ALEKS at home?
Students are encouraged to work from home every day.

How do you cultivate parental involvement and support for ALEKS?
We send home a letter to parents explaining the program.

Is ALEKS assigned to your students as all or part of their homework responsibilities? If so, what part of the total homework load is it?
ALEKS is not assigned as homework.

How do you incorporate ALEKS into your grading system?
ALEKS is used as an intervention to help students with additional math skills.

Do you require students to make regular amounts of progress in ALEKS?
Students work at their own pace.


Learning Outcomes

Since using ALEKS, please describe the learning outcomes or progress you have seen.
Students have progressed in various math topics and have mastered high percentages of materials for each topic. Students are confident in their progress in ALEKS.
