Jenifer Bublitz, Teacher
I just started using ALEKS this semester. So far I am seeing improvement with student-specific concerns.

What challenges did the class or school face in math prior to using ALEKS?
I have a Special Education math class. There were many different ability levels, and ALEKS has helped me with meeting the needs of students at every level.

How many days per week is class time dedicated to ALEKS?
3 days per week.

What is the average length of a class period when ALEKS is used?
30 minutes.

How do you implement ALEKS?
I signed up kids who were at different levels of math than the norm.

Do you cover ALEKS concepts in a particular order?
No, I let the students pick and choose at this time.

How do you structure your class period with ALEKS?
The students use ALEKS for the first 30 minutes of class, three days per week.

How did you modify your regular teaching approach as a result of ALEKS?
Some kids work on ALEKS while some work on other math programs.

How often are students required or encouraged to work on ALEKS at home?
I have not yet assigned any lessons for home.

How do you cultivate parental involvement and support for ALEKS?

Is ALEKS assigned to your students as all or part of their homework responsibilities? If so, what part of the total homework load is it?

How do you incorporate ALEKS into your grading system?
The students get a participation grade once a month.

Do you require students to make regular amounts of progress in ALEKS?
I am just happy to see any progress at this time.

Learning Outcomes
