The class has many bright students who have gaps in their knowledge.
How many days per week is class time dedicated to ALEKS?
3 days per week.
What is the average length of a class period when ALEKS is used?
How do you implement ALEKS?
We have certain criteria that the students have to meet in order to be able to use it.
Do you cover ALEKS concepts in a particular order?
Usually, basic number sense first then match what I am teaching to the ALEKS unit.

I usually give a small lesson which leads into ALEKS practice time. We end up working one on one by the end of class.

I decided to provide the students more time to use ALEKS, and then meet with me individually as needed.

We do not foster parental involvement at this point.

How do you incorporate ALEKS into your grading system?
I do not incorporate ALEKS into my grading system.
Do you require students to make regular amounts of progress in ALEKS?
No, however, I do monitor their progress, but it depends on the individual.
Since using ALEKS, please describe the learning outcomes or progress you have seen.
After using ALEKS, my students are more successful and feel better about math. They have the concepts down and love to see their pie chart fill up.
