Instructors can add Course Resources to their courses; these may be
shared files and links to aid student learning.
An example of a Course Resource is an online video that relates to a
particular topic in ALEKS.
To upload a file:
Click on the "Course Resources" link. (The first time you click on
this option, you will be prompted to agree to the terms of the ALEKS
Course Resources.)
Click on the "Add Resource" button.
Enter the name for the resource.
Select the "Upload a file" option.
Click on the "Browse" button to upload a file into ALEKS.
Click on the "Add Resource" button.
After a file has been uploaded, you can edit its name. You can also
delete the file or preview the file after uploading.
NOTE. The file upload size is limited to 4MB per file. The total amount
of resources that instructors can upload in each course is limited
to 30MB. Many file extensions are accepted for upload.
To add a link:
Click on the "Course Resources" link. (The first time you click on
this option, you will be prompted to agree to the terms of the ALEKS
Course Resources.)
Click on the "Add Resource" button.
Enter a name for the resource.
Select the "Paste a link" option.
Enter the URL in the textbox provided.
Click on the "Add Resource" button.
NOTE. Valid URLs must begin with http://, https:// or www. There is no
limitation on the number of links that instructors can add as Course
Resources.
When more than one resource has been added to a course, you can use
the arrows in the "Reorder" column to move the resource into the
desired position.
