The Assessment Mode (Fig. 4.1) has a reduced set of active menu buttons. The student being assessed is able to leave the system by clicking on their name (top right) followed by Log out. Other buttons may appear, but they are disabled. All of the ALEKS menu buttons are enabled in the Learning Mode (Sec. 5.2).

The two aspects of the ALEKS interface relevant to work in the Assessment Mode are the Answer Editor and the Assessment Report (Sec. 4.12).
