ALEKS - Assessment and Learning

7.11.1 Move Student by Drag and Drop

Individual students can be moved from one class to another using drag and drop. Click on the student you would like to move, hold the mouse button down, move the student to the class you would like them to be in, and then release the mouse button.
ALEKS has a "15 Day" rule that affects how the system behaves when a student is moved via drag and drop. If the student is moved earlier than 15 days after the account was enrolled in the class:
  • The student will appear in the new class.
  • The student and her record/progress will no longer appear in the old class.
If the student is moved after 15 days past the enrollment date in the class:
  • The student will appear in the new class.
  • The student and her record/progress will still appear in the old class.
If the ALEKS course product for the old class is the same as the ALEKS course product for the new class, the student's progress will be carried forward from the old class to the new class and they will not need to take a new Initial Assessment. If the course products are different, progress will not be carried forward and a new Initial Assessment will be given.
