Description: The Foundation’s current giving priorities primarily serve Southwestern Pennsylvania with a program focus on Regional Economic Development and Conservation, along with Education and Human Services and Nonprofit Capacity Building. For more than 60 years the Richard King Mellon Foundation has invested in the competitive future and quality of life in Southwestern Pennsylvania.
Eligibility: The Foundation gives priority to projects and programs that have clearly defined outcomes and an evaluation component. It does not consider requests on behalf of individuals, or from outside the United States. The Foundation does not encourage requests from outside Pennsylvania.
