Description: The Foundation contributes to a wide range of United States charitable organizations qualified under section 501(c)(3) or section 170(b)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code. Because the Guttmans spent their lives in New York City, and directed the majority of their charitable contributions to local projects, it is the policy of the Foundation to direct most of its grants to organizations providing services in the New York City metropolitan area. The Foundation also supports organizations in Israel.

Eligibility: To be considered for a grant, an organization must be a qualified charitable organization under section 501(c)(3) or section 170(b)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation expects to receive a narrative and financial report from its grantees on the use of the Foundation’s grant and on the grantees’ operations generally. Grant Eligibility Guidelines.
