
Director, User Experience and Research
With over a decade of experience at McGraw Hill, Vanessa Sullivan brings deep customer knowledge and a passion for creating meaningful, user-centered solutions. As Director of User Experience and Research, she leads the Enterprise UX team in delivering intuitive, engaging experiences for learners and educators. Mrs. Sullivan collaborates closely with product leaders, UX professionals, and stakeholders across all levels of the organization to ensure the delivery of seamless digital experiences that reflect a clear understanding of customer needs.
In 2012, Mrs. Sullivan joined ALEKS as a receptionist and quickly advanced within the organization after discovering a strong passion for user research. By 2016, she had become the ALEKS User Experience Research Manager, leading a team of user researchers in conducting studies that informed key enhancements to the ALEKS product. In 2019, Mrs. Sullivan expanded her role to include delivering customer insights across additional McGraw Hill products and platforms, broadening the impact of her work beyond ALEKS. Mrs. Sullivan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Chapman University and a Master of Science in Management, Strategy, and Leadership from Michigan State University.
